Department of Agricultural Engineering welcomes 2 New Faculty Members

The Department of Agricultural Engineering is glad to welcome two faculty members to complement its teaching force in the person of Engr. Marilyn Laquina Bernabe and Engr. Monalyn Lariosa Oloroso.




                     Engr. Marilyn L. Bernabe is a Professional Agricultural Engineer. She graduated in this University in 1997. She finished her Masters degree in Master of Arts in Educational Management in 2015 at Colegio de La Purisima Concepcion - Roxas City, Capiz. Presently, she is pursuing Master of Science major in Agronomy at Capiz State University (CapSU) Burias Graduate School. She used to be connected with the Department of Education particularly as Teacher III in Bula Elementary School- Bula, Mambusao, Capiz. She served there for eight (8) years. In addition, she also worked with the Department of Agrarian Reform and on the Comprehensive Irrigation Research and Development Umbrella Program of the then Panay State Polytechnic College (PSPC) now CapSU. Her educational background and work experiences will surely bring further progress for the department, especially for the learning development of its students. When asked why she decided to transfer to Capiz State University as Instructor I and leave her family at the DepED, she answered: “I really wanted to advance my teaching career and I believe that I can achieve this here at CapSU”. 






            Engr. Monalyn L. Oloroso is a Professional Agricultural Engineer. She graduated Cum Laude in this University in 2010. She is currently pursuing Master of Science major in Agronomy at CapSU Burias Graduate School. She used to be the Senior Officer of the Quality Assurance Section of the National Food Authority-Capiz Provincial Office where she was employed for six years (2010-2017). Her experiences in postharvest, processing and quality assurance is a worthy advantage for the department, especially for the learning of its students. When asked why she opted to transfer to Capiz State University as Instructor I, she answered: “I just feel that I have the passion to share with others- particularly my students the knowledge, skills and abilities I have gained which have benefited me in the past”. 

               According to Engr. Efren L. Linan, Program Coordinator/Chairman of DAEn, the hiring of two (2) additional teaching complement marks the continuous effort of the University to meet the requirements toward academic excellence particularly by improving its teaching force
