BS Agricultural Engineering Program undergoes Level IV AACCUP accreditation

In its persistent pursuit for academic excellence, Capiz State University (CapSU)-Burias Campus once again submitted its several curricular programs for evaluation by  the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP) on July 24-29, 2017.


One of the said programs was the BS in Agricultural Engineering(BSAE) under the College of Agriculture and Forestry (CAF) which undergone the Phase I of the 4th Survey Visit. The six-day survey visit, Headed by Dr. Mario B. Mendoza, team leader from Don Mariano Marcos Memorial University (DMMMSU), commenced on July 24, 2019 at the CapSU Poblacion Mambusao Gymnasium.

In the opening program, CapSU President Dr. Editha C. Alfon emphasized the importance of accreditation in the university’s quest for academic excellence. She expressed optimism on the outcome of the AACUP survey visit.

Programs that pass the rigid  AACCUP evaluation are awarded with accreditation status in recognition for their educational quality standards.

Meanwhile, the BSAE program retained its Level III Re-Accredited Status after passing three areas (Area I-VMGO, Area II-Faculty and Area X-Administration) and will be revisited not later than July 2021. Revisit for Area III (Curriculum), Area IV (Support to Students), Area V (Research), Area VI (Extension and Community Involvement), Area VII (Library), Area VIII (Physical Plant and Facilities) and Area IX (Laboratories) will be done to ensure that the said program complies with the minimum educational quality standards set by the accrediting agency to be awarded the Level IV accredited status.
