Surpassing Olympians: Snatching for Silver and Gold Medals Amidst Conundrum
by Leowens Ventura

Even for Hermes, the Greek god of speed, typically depicted wearing talaria and petasos, Dyna Rose G. Nicolas, a second year BSABE student of Capiz State University Burias Campus knew that somehow, winged sandals and hat won’t make her win the race but an athletically burning spirit to triumph. Enough to paying her outstretched weary hours and days of sprint as a sacrifice amidst conundrum.

When her foot first crept to the soil of the erratic, Dyna Rose G. Nicolas, a representative of CapSu Burias for the running event, haltingly thought that she might not really sure where the wind would take her.

Over 10 participants from the different State Colleges and Universities, winning is almost futile. Yet, from great bolt out of the blue, a glorious episode in her life will unfold from her very own eye. Another element of surprise she is not wholeheartedly ready to fathom otherwise, making her family and CapSu Burias proud ; a chapter in her life similar to someone else’s which the constellation of stars have had heard, bestowing her with a silver in 1500 meters and two gold medals for 3000 and 5000 meters in the running event through her unfaltering persistence, fortitude and bravura in the recently concluded Regional State Colleges and Universities Athletic Association Meet last February 3-5, 2020 at Talisay, Negros Occidental.
