CAFiestahan 2020: Experience and Enjoyment

         Collaboration of the three campuses—CAPSU-Burias, Dumarao Satellite College and Tapaz Satellite College leads the way to success of the CAFiestahan 2020.

          College of Agriculture and Forestry celebrates CAFiestahan 2020 with a theme, “Innovations.
Commitment.Sustainability” on January 29-31, 2020 at Capiz State University-Burias Campus gathering key officials, faculty, staff and students from various satellite colleges and campuses.

          The event started with the participants walking on the CapSU Burias grounds toward gymnasium for the opening program.

         It was also highlighted in the celebration the blessing and inauguration of the two-storey eight room Science Laboratory building, unveiling of CAF Landmark and opening of exhibits.
  
          Various activities such as coconut de husking, coconut grating, sack relay, tug of war and counting of 1000 seeds were included in the Agri-Olympics.
    
           The participants were divided into three groups—A, B and C, and the rest two groups came from the two campuses mentioned.

           An Alumni Night was organized to give recognition to the LEA passers who were given the chance to deliver a message.

          The second day highlighted  the training on Mushroom Cultivation by Dr. Emilita P.
Solante, Organic Agriculture by Dr. Salvacion J. Legaspi and Hog Raising by Mr. Rodriz C. Loja.

         The third day was all about Agri-Olympic Skills Contest which includes Identification of seeds, Compounding Feed Ration, Asexual Plant Propagation, Weed Identification, Estimating Live Weight of Hogs, Identification of Plant Pest and Diseases, Straight Plowing, Fertilizer Computation and Project Proposal. 

         The search for Mr., Ms., and Mess CAF 2020 intensified the fun. The following winners had dominated the activity:

          Mess Photogenic, Mr. Lezor Dalisay of DSC, Mecca Joy Pastrana and Mr. Juan Christian Medina of TSC hit an award. Mr. Argie Estolora, Ms. Ruby Ann Gagarin of TSC, and Mr. Mark Nuñez declared as the most talented among them all. For Best in Casual Wear, John Bryan Glumalid of TSC, Ms. Pastrana, and Mr. Medina were chosen. Mr.Estolora, Ms.Pastrana, and Mr. Nuñez won as Best in Production Number. Mr. Estolora.

          For the major awards, Bautista, Ms. Angely Hurtada and Mr. Nuñez declared as the 4rth Runners Up;3rd Runners Up was Mr. Jorge Lyndon Baylon, Ms. Lara and Mr. Christian Cezar. Mr. Glumalid, Ms.Pastrana, and Mr. Medina hit the 2 nd Runners Up spot. Mr. Estolora, Ms. Estanislao and Mr. Peter Bayquin were the 1 st Runners Up.
Lastly, Mr. Lezor Dalisay became the Mr CAF 2020, Ms. Ruby Ann Gagarin Proclaimed as Ms. CAF 2020.

The celebration ended with a victory party and disco.
