CAPSU holds online ISO second survey visit

To ensure that Capiz State University provides" academic excellence and quality service to all, the 2nd Surveillance Audit was made possible via Zoom conference last January 13-14, 2021 amidst the pandemic.

The two (2) day session was made with a particular purpose - to ensure that CAPSU is still complying to the  International Organization for Standardization (ISO 9001: 2015) requirements. As a result, the approved Auditors from SOCOTEC were given a tasked to ensure that the organization continue to keep up with the international standards.

In her opening message, Dr. Editha C. Alfon, the University President emphasized the CapSU’s desire for continuous improvement and will not stop until getting the ISO 9001: 2015 certification.

To attain the target agendum, the approved Lead Auditor from Société de Contrôles Techniques (SOCOTEC) opened the meeting in the first day. The continuation of the surveillance audit was made subsequently.

ISO 9001:2015 is the international standard specifying what a quality management system (QMS) is. The standard is used by organizations to show consistency in providing products and services that meet customer and regulatory requirements. It is the most popular standard in the ISO 9000 series and the only standard in the series to which organizations can be certified. ISO 9001 was first published in 1987 by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), an agency of more than 160 countries.

                                             BPEd students’ triumph in competitions

    Amidst the COVID 19, dance craze are circulating among the different social media platform. With just one click, one can freely engage in its growing trend. Despite the said adversity, the way BPEd student bravely accepted the dance challenges are note-worthy.

    Jazelle Leonardo, Mica Alondra Montaño, Jansen Jay Francisco,Jessa Veloria a 3rd year BPEd student, garnered third place as they battled out with the other competing team by giving their best shot in the dance challenge created by Fern C.

      The announcement of top 10 winners of inFERNess! Fern-C challenge was made last December 1, 2020.

Jay Ramon M. Alayon, a 2nd year BPED student bagged one of the spot in the latest Techno Xmas Dance Challenge last January 4, 2020.

     "Our main goal is to enjoy and have fun since we are adjusting in this new normal education. Dancing has always been our passion and an escape while also getting an extra income in it." said Ms. Leonardo.

    In the end, the energy that they invested in their entries is all worth it as they claimed their prizes. "Never hold back, show what you got", Ms. Leonardo added. The dedication of these students shows that beyond this pandemic, we can still be able to awaken our burning passion and interest, whatever it may be.
