                         Campus Journalists, Rocks on Paghanas 2021!

17 students from CapSU Burias participated in Paghanas 2021: 1st Governors Virtual Kabalaka Golden Pen and Journalism Summit, March 15-18, 2021.

            The Paghanas 2021 is a competition series open for Elementary, Secondary and Tertiary Level or Youth of Capiz. For the Tertiary Level, CapSU Burias students participate on Radio Broadcasting and Collaborative Desktop Publishing.

            Radio Broadcasting Competition was held through Facebook live on the second day, both for Secondary and Tertiary Level. The participants are Leowens L. Ventura, Farah G. Villeza, Chreslen L. Escuton, Gemar A. De Pedro, Klarrifett A. Gaspe, James E. Villasis, Angelica Ann Ramos, Jay Ramon M. Alayon, Dhaine O. Villorente and Adrian Villahermosa.

            While the Collaborative Desktop Publishing was made on the third day, through a virtual conference participated by Dhaine O. Villorente, Joelyn Felizardo, Rhyshe Ann Bautista, Emily Zonio, Leowens L. Ventura, Adrian Villahermosa and Blossom Pearl Villorente.

            Awarding rites was made on the last day where the Radio Broadcasting Team garnered third place and Best in Scriptwriting. On the other hand, the Radio Broadcasting was still blessed and thankful for the opportunity given to them. “We didn’t lose, instead we gain some things which could be useful for the publication”, said Mr.Villahermosa on a virtual interview.
