CAPSU BURIAS: MOST OUTSTANDING PSABE-PPG CHAPTER

          Philippine Society of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineers Pre Professional Group CapSU Burias Chapter joins the 32nd Philippine Agricultural Engineering Week, which was held simultaneously with 17th International Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering Conference and Exhibition and 70th PSABE Annual National Convention, with the theme “Harnessing Industry 4.0 for Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering” April 28-29, 2021 via online virtual conferencing.

            The PPG activities included eigh contests such as conference, plenary and technical papers presentations on the research, development, extension and different engineering related contests. Capiz State University Burias PPG Chapter was hailed as the Most Outstanding PSABE PPG Chapter and bagged a total of six awards in various categories:  Honey Lee Longares got third place in Combine Harvester Parts Identification and first place on Tractor Parts Identification and Rhyshe Ann Bautista, second place; Cherry Mae Villaruel, first place Digital Poster Making, while Rhyshe Ann Bautista and Mayrel Joy Arroyo got first place in Photography Contest and first place in Video presentation spearheaded by Louel Lee G. Agpalo.

     Moreover, the faculty were also able to bring home awards. In the AB Power and Machinery Category, the research paper entitled, "Development of Calamansi Juice Extractor", presented by Engr. Monalyn L. Oloroso, with co-authors, Engr. Arlyn C. Olmo, Engr. Efren Linan, Lorelen V. Rano and Darwin N. Quiarao garnered 3rd place as Best Papaer and the research paper entitled, "“Development of Coco Fiber Twinning Machine," by Engr. Marilyn L. Bernabe won 3rd place.

        General election also takes place for PSABE officers for 2021-2022, two out of the seven positions were secured by Louel Lee Agpalo as the PSABE-PPG National President, and PABE-PPG National Associate Secretary for Honey Lee Longares. 

    The CapSU Burias PPG Chapter continues to equip themselves and harness their skills to successfully reap understanding results.

COM BAGS AWARD ON COMEPP'S 25TH WESTERN VISAYAS VIRTUAL CONFERENCE

     Capiz State University - Burias Campus, College of Management garnered awards during the 25th Council of Management Educators and Professionals in the Philippines (COMEPP) via virtual conference hosted by University of Antique last April 29. This year's theme is "Motivation, Character, & Wellbeing: Keys to Seeking the Thrill for Victory during Challenging Times of the Pandemic."

     The event was participated by students from College of Management Department.

     Mark Jhon Cornelio a 1st year BSBA student, heralded as CHAMPION in Business Spoken Poetry and Roberto Omar a 3rd year BSBA student, won the 2ND PLACE in Impromptu Business Speech whereas Cherry Mae Laurel, Jenny Babe Diestro, Mateo Ricaforte and Diomar Olisco clenched the 2ND PLACE in Tiktok Competition.

     "What we've achieved today is also the department's achievement, so congratulations to all of us - College of Management." said Roberto Omar, one of the participants.

     The virtual conference aims to bring together educators, academicians, professionals, and students.
