Acquaintance Party 2019 Promotes Camaraderie

To welcome newly enrolled students and way of knowing each other, Capiz State University – Burias Campus conducted its Acquaintance Party, September 4, 2019 at Campus Gymnasium.

Supreme Student Council (SSC) facilitated different activities and competitions. The first contest was “The Voice” -a singing competition which was comprised of 12 participants from different departments including the Laboratory High School.

Kyla Lago of LHS ranked as the second runner up, Rey Lacao from the College of Education (COE) got the first runner up, and Verly Jane Delgado of COE bagged “The Voice” Champion 2019.

It was then followed by games, where the Bachelor of Science in Agriculture and Bio-System Engineering (BSABE) won the “Sack Race” and “Trip to Jerusalem”. On the other hand, LHS got the place in “Agawan ng Buko”. Lastly, the participants from COE reap place in the Dance Showdown.

Subsequently, it was followed by the Acquaintance Ball where students was prescribed to wear retro style of clothing as their theme.

Ms. Rhea Lopez and Mr. Jojie Orap-Orap of COE were chosen as the Dancing Queen and King. While  Mr. Shadon Guillergan and Ms. Arlyn Estocada of COE hailed as the Head Turner of the Night. Lastly, Ms. Jazelle Leonardo of COE and Mr. Deither John Borres of BSABE got the title as the new Mr. and Ms. Acquaintance Party.

The event  concluded with a thanksgiving message from Prof. Gerard Lee Atienza, OSA Chair and SSC President, Mr. Nicanor De Ocampo Jr.
