Department of Agricultural Engineering joins Adlaw et Mangunguma

To be able to help in the livelihood program, Capiz State University Burias Campus Engineering Department  took the initiative to share their discovered products and machine to the community on August 14, 2017.

The Department of Agricultural Engineering (DAEn) showcased some of its developed machines during the “ Adlaw et Mangunguma”, a one-day activity devoted for the farmers to promote their agricultural products, conducted at the Bagsakan Center of Barangay Burias, Mambusao, Capiz. This is one of the activities during the celebration of  Barangay Burias religious fiesta on August 10-14, 2017.

The technology exhibit aims to inform the farmer-participants of Barangay Burias of the existing agricultural machines which can help them achieve better efficiency in their production. Engr. Marilyn L. Bernabe, Extension Coordinator of DAEn led the exhibit. DAEn Faculty members and students enrolled in the Agricultural Extension Subject also assisted in the said activity.

Various participants showed interests with the displayed machines and were advised to visit the Extension Office of the department for further information. Indeed, the activity portrays the university’s continuous effort in extending its technologies to support development in the community.
