CAPSU earns ISO 9001: 2015 certification

Capiz State University remains as an ISO 9001:2015 Certified Academic Institution. The second survey visit audit was conducted on October 24, 2019 assessed once again the frontline services of the University

This indicates the  institutions effectiveness in strengthening its performance to provide quality education to all.

ISO 9001:2015 defines the benchmark that provides a framework of globally recognized pronciples of quality management system (QMS), including customer focus, leadership, engagement of people, process approach, improvement, evidence-based decision-making and relationship management.


The ISO accreditation was made possible with the assistance of the different campuses and satellite colleges.

CapSU achieved another milestone with this international accreditation towards academic excellence by ensuring world class quality in terms of giving service to every individuak.

Intramural Meet 2019: Teaches the Value of Teamwork, Unity, and Passion

Palarong Pampaaraan 2019, one of the most significant events held at Capiz State University, Burias Campus, October 16-18, 2019 with the theme: “PASUC: Preserving Cultural Heritage at the Vanguard of Internationalization”.

It teaches value of teamwork and promote camaraderie among individuals. Students were given the chance and opportunity to showcase their talents and passion in various events like sports or cultural contest.

PAGCOR donates Tv and Desktop

 to CapSU Burias

College of Management is the latest recipient of the Handog Computer program for the 21st Century Skills Development of K to12 Learners of the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corps (PAGCOR).

On Tuesday, August 6, 2019, in the person of PAGCOR Vice President, James Patrick R. Bondoc, COM received 5 desktop computers followed by 5 TV last July,this year.



        “We lack of facilities, so we are finding ways to sustain the needs of our learners through establishing rapports. The computers and televisions are great help to enhance the quality education and service we offer in CapSU”,  Dr. Magallanes said.

        The said facilities are distributed to five faculty of the said department. These are for classroom instructions and for the students convenience.

Capiz State University-Burias Campus hopes to receive more support and assistance from the government and various non-government organizations.

CAPSU conducts Pre-retirement Orientation Seminar



An initiative from the Faculty and Employees Association of Burias Campus paved the way to the realization of the Pre-Retirement Orientation Seminar.
Dr. Ludovico C. Olmo, Jr. Campus Administrator, Dr. Victoria N. Garnace & Mrs. Emily P. Launio together with the faculty and staff attended in the seminar on June 20, 2019 at the Gov. Vic Bermejo Hall.
The Officer-In-Charge of the GSIS Roxas City Branch, Ms. Rosenie G. Chavez enlightened the participants on some issues about the various programs of the GSIS with her discussion on GSIS Retirement Program.
After the talk, an open forum took place which allowed all the participants to ask questions and be clarified of so many things.
The seminar shed light on how to focus more on the importance of financial planning to invest more for the future.

Cirilo Wins Campus Press Awards

        Anthony Cirilo, an incoming second year college student taking up Bachelor of Secondary Education was awarded First Place in Persuasive category in his piece, "Election: Source of Repertoire Change" on June 15, 2019 at Savoy Hotel, Pasay City Manila.
       The Manila Times, one of the country's leading broadsheets, held its annual Campus Press Awards from April-May this year.
        One of the contests is the 2019 National Essay writing contest in English which has four categories: Narrative, Descriptive, Expository and Persuasive .
        The competition was opened to high school and college level.
        Cirilo received his award during the awarding ceremony on June 15, 2019 at the Savoy Hotel in Manila.
        The Polytechnic University of the Philippines won as Best Essay while the Ateneo De Manila University got the second place.
         
Dante Francis "Klink Ang II, president and dean of the Manila Times College and Estrelita C. Valderama awards the cerificate to Anthony Cirilo for winning second place in the Essay Writing Contest (Persuasive Category).

        Cirilo showed his journalistic prowess coupled with a great desire to be heard through his article. 
"This brings so much happiness not only for myself and family but most of all to Capiz State University-Burias Campus. This proved that we can certainly compete with other Higher Education Institutions in the country" said Cirilo.
        The Manila Times Campus Press Awards is a nationwide competition that aims to recognize promising young journalists in the high school and college level.
